Lenskart's first-quarter earnings show explosive growth, with profit soaring 273% year-on-year. Revenue climbed 43%, and net profit margin expanded significantly.

Lenskart Solutions has kicked off FY27 with explosive earnings growth, as the eyewear retailer's profit nearly quadrupled from a year ago. The surge was powered by robust revenue growth and a dramatic expansion in profitability.

Revenue for the quarter ended June 2026 rose 43.3% year-on-year to ₹2,714 crore, continuing a steady upward trajectory. More impressively, profit after tax soared 273.4% to ₹228 crore. This indicates strong operating leverage, with profit growing much faster than sales. The net profit margin jumped to 8.4%, a significant 520 basis-point improvement from the 3.2% margin in Q1 FY26.

Sequentially, the momentum remains positive. Revenue grew 7.9% from the previous quarter (Q4 FY26), while profit increased by 12.2%. The company's trailing twelve-month (TTM) performance also reflects this improving trend, with a net profit margin of 6.9%.

The table clearly shows a consistent climb in both revenue and profit over the last five quarters, with profitability metrics strengthening each period.

Key Points

  • The company maintains a strong balance sheet with minimal debt, reflected in a low debt-to-equity ratio of 0.03.
  • Return on Capital Employed (ROCE) stands at a healthy 12.55%.
  • The stock trades at a significant premium to its industry, with a P/E of 176.1 compared to the sector average of 35.4.

The key question for the coming quarters is whether Lenskart can sustain this high level of profitability as it continues its growth journey.
