The fashion retailer's Q4 FY26 net profit collapsed to just ₹0.03 crore, as a sharp revenue decline and rising interest costs erased margins.
Mafia Trends ended FY26 on a weak note, with Q4 profit plunging 90.6% year-on-year. A steep sequential sales drop and a doubling of interest expense squeezed its net profit margin to a mere 0.6%.
For Mafia Trends, a year of strong top-line growth ended with a quarter that nearly erased its profitability. The fashion retailer's March quarter saw net profit collapse by over 90% from a year ago, as a sharp drop in sales was compounded by rising costs.
The numbers tell a story of a sudden reversal. Revenue for Q4 FY26 fell 4.9% year-on-year to ₹5.08 crore. More starkly, it was nearly halved from the ₹10.06 crore posted in the preceding September quarter. Profit fell even faster, dropping 90.6% YoY to just ₹0.03 crore, leaving the net profit margin at a wafer-thin 0.6%.

A five-fold jump in other income to ₹0.18 crore was not enough to offset the core pressures. The operating profit margin, as reported by Cruxal, fell to just 1.18% from 10.11% a year earlier. Interest expense doubled year-on-year to ₹0.18 crore, further eroding what little profit was left.
The full-year picture is one of growth with deteriorating quality. Revenue for FY26 jumped 89.7% to ₹15.13 crore, but profit grew only 15.1% to ₹0.47 crore. The annual operating margin compressed to 4.9%, according to data from newboard.
Profitability pressure is mirrored in cash generation. Data from newboard shows cash from operations was a negligible ₹0.01 crore for FY26, against an operating profit of ₹0.75 crore. This suggests working capital absorbed nearly all the profit generated by the business during the year.
The company had planned a ₹7.29 crore fundraise via convertible warrants to support expansion, as noted by ScanX. However, it withdrew the proposal in January 2026 citing market volatility, leaving its growth funding unclear.
Key Points
The quarter exposes the fragility beneath Mafia Trends' annual sales growth. A business that cannot convert operating profit into cash and sees margins vanish on a modest sales dip is operating on thin ice. The withdrawn fundraise adds to the uncertainty. For the stock, trading at a steep discount to the industry PE, the market is pricing in these fundamental risks. The path to a sustainable rerating requires demonstrating consistent profitability and far better cash discipline, neither of which this quarter provided.
