The real estate firm's Q1 profit jumped on a 228% surge in other income, while its core rental revenue remained unchanged for the fifth straight quarter.
Ridhi Synthetics reported a 233% year-on-year jump in Q1 FY27 profit, driven entirely by a spike in other income. Its core rental revenue was flat, highlighting a reliance on non-operating gains for earnings growth.
For a company whose main business is renting property, Ridhi Synthetics' latest profit surge came from somewhere else entirely. Its net profit tripled year-on-year in Q1 FY27, but the core rental revenue that should drive a real estate firm stayed exactly the same. The story of this quarter is a sharp rise in other income, not operational growth.
The numbers show a clear split. Revenue was flat at ₹0.12 crore, unchanged from the previous quarter and the same quarter last year. Profit, however, jumped to ₹0.3 crore, up 233% year-on-year and doubling sequentially from Q4 FY26.

According to reports from scanx.trade, the profit jump was powered by a 228% surge in other income, which ballooned to ₹45.41 lakh. This non-operating gain made up 78% of the company's total income for the quarter, up from 53% a year ago. Meanwhile, the pre-tax surplus from its core rental operations was a negligible ₹0.72 lakh.
This creates a fundamental tension. The headline profit looks strong, but it is built on external gains rather than the company's stated business of property rental. The flat revenue line for five consecutive quarters confirms the core model is not expanding.
Despite the reported profit, shareholders' total wealth took a hit. The same reports note that total comprehensive income for the quarter was a loss of ₹39.26 lakh. This was due to a negative other comprehensive income (OCI) adjustment of ₹69.32 lakh, stemming from items not reclassified to the profit and loss statement.

This OCI hit, often related to valuation changes in financial assets, acts as a counterweight to the profit surge. It shows that while the income statement benefited, the balance sheet absorbed a significant charge.
Recent governance filings show a board under refresh, with a new independent director appointed in June. However, the 45th AGM saw 100% of votes controlled by promoters, indicating concentrated ownership. From a valuation standpoint, the company trades at a price-to-earnings ratio of 0.5, a 99% discount to its industry peer average of 46.4, as per the payload data.
This extreme discount suggests the market is deeply skeptical about the sustainability and quality of earnings driven by volatile other income, not recurring rental cash flows.
Key Points
The quarter reveals a company whose reported profitability is decoupled from its core operations. The sustainability of such gains is the central question; other income is inherently less predictable than rental contracts.
For the profit momentum to last, Ridhi Synthetics needs either a steady stream of similar non-operating gains or, more convincingly, growth in its rental revenue. Until the top line moves, the bottom-line jumps will be viewed as transient, which the severe valuation discount already reflects.
