Simbhaoli Sugars' Q1 FY27 results show a steep decline in revenue and a widening net loss, with profitability under significant pressure compared to last year.

Simbhaoli Sugars reported a sharp contraction in its first-quarter earnings, with revenue falling steeply year-on-year and net losses deepening. The challenging quarter highlights ongoing pressure in the sugar producer's operations, as profitability weakened significantly despite a slight reduction in the absolute loss compared to the same period last year.

Revenue for the quarter ended June 2026 came in at ₹146.11 crore, a 37.1% drop from the ₹232.47 crore reported in Q1 FY26. Sequentially, revenue also fell by 26.4% from the previous quarter. The company posted a net loss of ₹25.34 crore, which, while 13.0% lower than the ₹22.43 crore loss a year ago, represents a substantial widening from the ₹1.74 crore loss in the immediately preceding quarter (Q4 FY26). This resulted in a net profit margin of -17.3%, a significant deterioration of 770 basis points compared to the -9.6% margin in Q1 FY26.

The recent trajectory shows a volatile earnings pattern over the past five quarters.

On a trailing twelve-month (TTM) basis, the company's revenue stands at ₹950.34 crore with a cumulative net loss of ₹41.74 crore, translating to a TTM net profit margin of -4.4%. The stock has faced severe pressure, declining 53.8% over the past year and 71.3% over three years. The immediate challenge for Simbhaoli Sugars is to stabilize its top line and reverse the severe erosion in its profit margins seen this quarter.
