Aditya Infotech's surveillance brand saw profit jump over 300% on soaring revenue, yet sequential margin compression signals a new phase of cost pressures.
CP PLUS parent Aditya Infotech reported a 332.5% surge in Q1 FY27 profit as revenue nearly doubled year-on-year. However, the net profit margin dipped sequentially as a low-cost inventory benefit was exhausted.
Aditya Infotech, the force behind India's leading surveillance brand CP PLUS, entered FY27 with the kind of growth that redefines a market leader. Revenue nearly doubled and profit more than quadrupled from a year ago, cementing its dominance. Yet the quarter also marked the end of a temporary boost, setting up a tougher test of pricing power for the rest of the year.
Revenue for the quarter ended June 2026 stood at ₹1,402.4 crore, up 89.5% from a year earlier. Profit after tax surged 332.5% to ₹142.2 crore. The net profit margin expanded to 10.1% from 4.4% a year ago, but it retreated from 11.9% in the preceding March quarter.

| Metric | CurrentQ1 FY27 (Jun 2026) | PreviousQ4 FY26 (Mar 2026) |
|---|---|---|
| Revenue (₹ Cr) | 1,402.42 | 1,422.03 |

| Net Profit Margin | 10.1% | 11.9% |
The explosive growth was powered by the CP PLUS brand, which contributed 87% of revenue, according to the company's earnings call. Within that, higher-value IP products made up 79% of the portfolio. This mix shift toward intelligent surveillance solutions, coupled with a 59% reduction in finance costs post-IPO, drove the massive profit leap.
However, the sequential dip in both revenue and profit points to a transition. Management, cited by reports from InvestorStack and Multibagg.ai, stated that margins moderated slightly from Q4 due to the exhaustion of lower-cost inventory. The benefit from stockpiled cheaper components has run out.
Replacing that inventory comes at a much higher cost. Management described System-on-Chip and DDR component price hikes as "phenomenal." Their strategy is to pass these costs through to customers gradually—with increases of 10-20% implemented so far and a full-year target of around 25%—to avoid a demand shock.
This creates a timing risk. If global component costs rise faster than the company can adjust its prices, margins could face pressure even if sales volumes hold. The reaffirmed full-year EBITDA margin guidance of 14-15%, with Q1 at 14.8%, suggests management expects to navigate this tightrope.
To secure future margins and supply, Aditya Infotech is pushing ahead with capacity expansion and backward integration. The plan is to roughly double the current monthly capacity of 2.5 million units over three years. A joint venture for cable manufacturing and a new housing plant are slated to become operational this fiscal year.
New product categories like the CP PLUS Pro series for enterprise and home IoT devices are targeted for launch by Q4. These initiatives aim to open new markets and further premiumize the brand mix.
Key Points
The quarter showcases CP PLUS's formidable execution in capturing market share and premiumizing its mix, translating directly to the bottom line. The path ahead, however, swaps an inventory benefit for an execution test on pricing.
Success now hinges on a delicate balance: passing through significant input cost inflation without denting the volume growth that underpins its scale advantage. The guidance suggests confidence, but the sequential margin dip shows the transition has already begun. Investors are left weighing a stellar growth story against a rich valuation, where any stumble on price realization could be costly.
