PB Fintech's profit surged 92.5% year-on-year in Q1 FY27, though revenue and earnings declined from the previous quarter.
PB Fintech reported a strong year-on-year performance with profit nearly doubling, but faced a sequential decline in both revenue and profit for Q1 FY27.
PB Fintech, the parent of Policybazaar and Paisabazaar, delivered a quarter of powerful year-on-year growth but a sequential step back. Profit after tax for the quarter ended June 2026 soared 92.5% compared to the same period last year, reaching ₹162.91 crore. This impressive jump came on the back of a 40.1% increase in revenue, which stood at ₹1,888.28 crore.
However, compared to the preceding March 2026 quarter, both revenue and profit moderated. Revenue declined 8.4% quarter-on-quarter, while profit fell 37.6%. This sequential pullback brought the net profit margin down to 8.6% from 12.7% in Q4 FY26, though it remains well above the 6.3% margin from a year ago.
The company's earnings trajectory over the last five quarters shows a clear upward trend from a year ago, with the latest quarter's profit still the second-highest in this period.
