Kitex Garments reported a sharp decline in its Q4 FY26 results, with revenue down 44.6% and a net loss of ₹9.29 crore. This caps a volatile year of quarterly swings.

Kitex Garments concluded a turbulent financial year with a difficult fourth quarter, reporting a significant drop in sales and a slide into losses. The Q4 results stand in stark contrast to the company's robust full-year performance, highlighting a story of two distinct halves for the infantwear manufacturer.

For the quarter ended March 2026, revenue fell 44.6% year-on-year to ₹166.17 crore. This led to a net loss of ₹9.29 crore, a sharp reversal from the ₹31.82 crore profit reported in Q4 FY25. The net profit margin for the quarter was -5.6%, a dramatic 1,620 basis point drop from the 10.6% margin a year ago. Sequentially, the situation also weakened, with both revenue and profit declining from the December quarter.

The quarterly table reveals a clear pattern: after a profitable start to FY26, the company has recorded losses for three consecutive quarters. This volatile quarterly performance is set against a strong full-year picture. For the full fiscal year 2024-25, Kitex delivered impressive growth with revenue up 59.3% to ₹982.8 crore and profit surging 143.1% to ₹135.75 crore.

Key Points

  • The trailing twelve-month (TTM) period now shows a net loss of ₹13.21 crore on revenue of ₹666.95 crore.
  • Over a five-year horizon, revenue has grown at a 7.6% CAGR, while profit growth has been more modest at 2.8%.
  • The stock has declined 40.4% over the past year, reflecting the challenging recent quarters, though it still trades at a 23.5% discount to the industry average P/E.

The critical question for Kitex is whether the weak quarterly trend represents a temporary slump or a more fundamental challenge to its post-pandemic recovery momentum.
