GSS Infotech returned to a small profit in the first quarter of FY27, marking a sharp recovery from the heavy loss posted in the prior quarter. However, this positive development was accompanied by a decline in revenue, indicating persistent challenges in its core business.
The company reported a profit of ₹0.15 crore for the quarter ended June 2026, a significant improvement from the loss of ₹49.14 crore in Q4 FY26. On a year-on-year basis, the result also turned positive from a loss of ₹1.52 crore in Q1 FY26. This swing pushed the net profit margin into positive territory at 0.6%, a notable 690 basis point improvement from the negative 6.3% margin a year ago.
Revenue, however, tells a different story. Sales fell 2.4% year-on-year to ₹23.5 crore and dropped 16.5% sequentially from the ₹28.16 crore reported in the March quarter. The recent quarterly performance shows a volatile revenue pattern.
