East West Freight Carriers' Q1 FY27 results show a mixed picture: revenue fell 19% year-on-year, but the company managed to stay profitable, marking a second consecutive quarter in the black.

East West Freight Carriers delivered a mixed performance in the first quarter of fiscal 2027. While revenue declined significantly from the same period last year, the company managed to stay profitable for a second consecutive quarter, a positive shift from the losses seen in the prior fiscal year.

The company's revenue for the quarter ended June 2026 stood at ₹45.56 crore, down 19.4% compared to Q1 FY26. Sequentially, revenue saw a modest 2.8% uptick from the previous quarter. Profit after tax was a slender ₹0.29 crore. This represents a 44.2% drop from the ₹0.52 crore earned in Q4 FY26, but a notable swing from the ₹0.25 crore loss reported in the year-ago quarter. Consequently, the net profit margin improved to 0.6%, up from -0.4% a year ago.

A look at the recent quarterly trajectory shows the company's struggle for consistent profitability.
