Apar Industries' Q1 FY27 profit surged 78% year-on-year to ₹467 crore, with net profit margin jumping to 7.1%. Revenue grew 29% YoY to ₹6,591 crore.

Apar Industries kicked off fiscal 2027 with a powerful display of profitability, as its first-quarter profit surged 78% year-on-year. This impressive leap was driven by a significant expansion in net profit margin, showcasing the company's ability to convert strong top-line growth into even stronger bottom-line results.

The company's revenue for the quarter ended June 2026 grew a robust 29.1% year-on-year to ₹6,591 crore. However, the real story is in the profit figures, which jumped to ₹467 crore from ₹263 crore in the same quarter last year. This translated to a net profit margin of 7.1%, a substantial 190 basis point improvement from the 5.2% margin in Q1 FY26. Sequentially, revenue was nearly flat, dipping just 0.2% from the March quarter, but profit skyrocketed 84.4% from ₹253 crore, highlighting a dramatic quarter-on-quarter margin recovery.

A look at the recent quarterly performance shows a clear trajectory of improving profitability:

The trailing twelve-month (TTM) net profit margin stands at 4.8%, indicating the latest quarter's performance is a strong positive outlier. The company also maintains a solid balance sheet, with a high return on capital employed (ROCE) of 31.8% and a comfortable debt-to-equity ratio of 0.16. The stock's performance has been stellar, delivering a 94.9% return over the past year, though it currently trades at a slight discount to its industry's average price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio. The key question is whether Apar can sustain this new, higher level of profitability in the quarters ahead.
