NRB Industrial Bearings Sees Profitability Pressure Amid Quarterly Sales Dip

A slight year-on-year revenue gain was overshadowed by a deeper net loss and a sharp contraction in net profit margin for the quarter.

By HexaWealth Research

NRB Industrial Bearings reported a 1.9% YoY revenue increase in Q1 FY27, but its net loss widened to ₹6.72 crore. The net profit margin deteriorated significantly compared to the same period last year.

NRB Industrial Bearings posted a mixed set of numbers for the first quarter of FY27. While revenue showed modest year-on-year growth, the company's net loss widened, and its net profit margin contracted sharply, highlighting ongoing profitability challenges.

The quarter saw revenue of ₹18.9 crore, a slight 1.9% increase from the ₹18.55 crore reported in Q1 FY26. However, this was an 8.2% sequential decline from the previous quarter (Q4 FY26). More concerning is the bottom line: the net loss expanded to ₹6.72 crore, a 27% deeper loss compared to the ₹5.29 crore loss a year ago. This pushed the net profit margin down to -35.6%, a significant 710 basis point deterioration from the -28.5% margin in Q1 FY26.

A look at the recent quarterly performance shows the company has been consistently reporting losses.
