JK Lakshmi Cement reported robust full-year results with profit up 52.2%. However, the Q4 performance was mixed, with profit down 18.6% year-on-year despite flat revenue.

JK Lakshmi Cement has closed the financial year 2026 with a powerful surge in profitability, even as its final quarter revealed some pressure on margins. The company's annual profit grew by an impressive 52.2% to ₹430.34 crore, significantly outpacing a 9.2% rise in full-year revenue. This performance underscores a year of improved operational efficiency and financial health.

The quarterly picture is more nuanced. Revenue for Q4 FY26 was essentially flat year-on-year, inching up just 0.2% to ₹1,901.53 crore. Profit for the quarter, however, declined by 18.6% to ₹138.22 crore. This divergence pulled the net profit margin down to 7.3%, a drop of 160 basis points from the 8.9% margin in Q4 of the previous year. The sequential story is brighter: both revenue and profit rebounded strongly from a weak Q3, rising 19.7% and 137.8% quarter-on-quarter, respectively.

Key Points

  • The company's full-year revenue has grown at a steady 5-year CAGR of 7.6%, though profit growth over the same long-term horizon has been minimal at 0.2%.
  • The stock has faced significant headwinds, with a one-year return of -38.6% and a three-year CAGR of -3.6%.
  • On valuation, the stock trades at a P/E of 16.8, a substantial 50.6% discount to the industry average P/E of 34.0.

While the annual figures paint a picture of robust recovery, the margin contraction in the final quarter suggests the company's journey toward sustained, high-quality earnings is still evolving. The market's deep discount to industry peers reflects the challenges ahead in translating operational gains into consistent shareholder returns.
