Allcargo Logistics reported a 59.7% drop in full-year profit despite a 52.2% surge in revenue. The fourth quarter saw a return to profit, but margins remain under pressure.

Allcargo Logistics closed its financial year with sharply contrasting results: a strong top-line performance overshadowed by a severe squeeze on profitability. For the full year ended March 2025 (FY25), revenue surged 52.2% year-on-year, but profit after tax collapsed by 59.7%. This divergence highlights significant margin pressure across the business.

The final quarter of FY26 offered a partial recovery. After posting a loss in Q3, the company returned to a profit of ₹19 crore in Q4. However, this was still 20.8% lower than the profit earned in the same quarter last year. Revenue for the quarter was essentially flat, inching up just 0.2% year-on-year. The net profit margin for Q4 stood at 3.7%, down 100 basis points from the 4.7% margin in Q4 FY25.

A look at the recent quarterly trajectory shows a volatile year:

Key Points

  • Long-Term Trend: The company's five-year financial trajectory is challenging, with revenue declining at a CAGR of -4.8% and profit falling at a steeper -28.5% CAGR.
  • Trailing Performance: The last twelve months (TTM) net profit margin is a thin 1.2%, reflecting the profitability challenges of the full year.
  • Stock Performance: The earnings pressure aligns with a difficult period for shareholders, with the stock price down 76.9% over the past year.
  • Valuation Context: Despite the weak earnings, the stock trades at a P/E of 78.9, a 63.7% premium to its industry peers, suggesting the market price may not fully reflect the recent profit decline.

The company's ability to translate its revenue base into sustainable profits will be the critical focus for the coming fiscal year.
